Training-course “Working with historical memory in non-formal citizenship education”

The DRA invites youth workers and youth leaders from Germany, Russia, Estonia and Poland (18-30 years old) to take part in the Training-course “Working with historical memory in non-formal citizenship education” in Berlin on May, 31 – June, 6/7/8.

The aim of the training course is to raise awareness of educators and youth workers of dealing with issues on history and memory (with focus on changes in Europe in 1980th-1990th) through offering them new perspectives on such work, experience and debriefing non-formal educational methods and working together on visions of such work in frames of international youth exchanges.
Working with the topic will be organized through interactive methods of non-formal education. Most of them can be adapted for international youth exchanges and other activities with young people. After the training course, some of the participants can be invited to take part as teamers/camp-leaders in the following youth exchanges.

There is no participation fee. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
Working language is English.
