You would like to know the main working areas of German-Russian Exchange’s (DRA) and its partners in specific countries? Here is a selection of our exchange programmes listed for each country. Within the section Europe you will find cross-country and multilateral programmes and projects.

Germany

We believe that for a strong civil society you have to put your own house in order. We are working in Germany to strengthen the values of democracy, to reach social cohesion via integration of all societal groups and for a fair dialogue on history and society.

Russia

With more than 20 years of truthful work with people and partners, German-Russian Exchange (DRA) contributed to better German-Russian relations.

Ukraine

Since 1998 German-Russian Exchange (DRA) is engaged helping Ukrainian civil society as part of a transparent and open space in Eastern Europe. Since 2014 our efforts have become more intensive and our mission clear: To support Ukrainian society, to deal with the consequences of war in Eastern Ukraine and to monitor the human rights situation.

Belarus

German-Russian Exchange (DRA) aims to help people from Belarus to build an active civil society. From all countries of Eastern Europe, active citizens there face the toughest hardships: For many years now NGOs face repressions, the freedom to assemble is heavily constrained. Experts call it a “paralysed civil society”.

Europe

Apart from multiple bilateral exchange programmes and projects, German-Russian Exchange (DRA) works for tolerance and development in all Europe. We are cooperating with partners within EU, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The biggest project is EU-Russia Civil Society Forum, a platform for common positions of Eastern and Western European civil society.
