The conference "Berlin Autumn Talks" is for many years a constant component of the Berlin specialist scene, namely the Eastern European discourse. The Autumn talks continue the tradition of German-Russian Autumn Talks, which the German-Russian Exchange (DRA e.V.) has been organizing since 1995. Being an open thematic conference, it approaches relevant social and political topics related to Eastern Europe, Russia and Germany/EU with a focus on the independent civil society. The objective of the conference is to take up current topics which in the next years will become of political and social relevance and discuss them in public with the assistance of experts from the fields of politics, science and civil society. To the topics that were discussed in the last years belong, for example, conflict resolution in Donbass and Eastern Ukraine, migration policy in Russia and Germany, environmental and climate protection and many other.
