Integration through one´s own initiative and joint action
The German-Russian Voluntary Agency in Berlin is a project under the direction of Deutsch-Russischer Austausch e.V.
With this project, DRA addresses repatriates and Russian-speaking immigrants living in Berlin. Many of them feel the need, to improve their knowledge and skills to benefit the community they live in; to be active in their social environment; to improve language skills; to establish contacts; to update qualifications required for a job and to enhance their integration with the community they reside.
The German-Russian Voluntary Agency provides information on the subject of “honorary work” and arranges activities for projects with different profile for interested repatriates.
Also, the German-Russian Voluntary Agency addresses everyone in Berlin who is interested, to team-work with repatriates and Russian-speaking immigrants with other concerns and needs.
Placement through the German-Russian Voluntary Agency
People, who want to get involved, and organisations, which have an interest in the co-operation from volunteers can contact the DRA- project leader for a first briefing, via telephone or E-Mail.
"Taking-part days" - joint action
Repatriates and immigrants will conduct voluntary activities in small groups within a day with an organisation or in the framework of an initiative. The aim of the “Taking-part days” is to show where help and support is needed in the society and how it can be carried out. It will be an opportunity to discover, that joint voluntary action can bring fun and is beneficial at the same time.
